 Recently appointed as an Liaison Office and College Counselor at State University of New York (SUNY Korea), Mrs. Genii already making name of herself as an independent college counselor and has successfully helped to educate hundreds of students where they are attending in Harvard, Pomona, U Penn, Williams, Cornell, Haverford, USC, Swarthmore, Boston College, West Point, etc.  She has not only helped individual students, but has reached many others by presenting lectures at numerous area high schools, university, and graduate admission college process outlets, including Radio Korea 1540AM, the Korea Herald Newspaper, and LA Times. 

 Genii founded IEDU Inc (dab: Admission AG), an educational counseling company to help students and parents navigate through today's most competitive college admissions with the utmost operational consulting and dynamic approach. 

As a College Counselor at Admission AG, she advised students on academic and extracurricular achievements to increase their competitive edge. She also provided official school recommendations and college evaluations for each student. With her experience in international admissions policies and her familiarity with SEVIS processes, she introduced personalized resources for international and local pre-college students. 

 With her prestigious 17-years-long experience, she was able to provide many of her student groups with the opportunity to enter the Diamond Challenge in 2018. And recently, out of these groups, one team made it all the way to the University of Delaware for the final round. Furthermore, her students emerged victorious in the Holocaust Competition at Chapman University, the Toyota Teen Driver Competition, the International Fluor Engineering Competition, and many more. Her guidance has also given select students the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall, New York.

 Genii has developed an expertise in educational counseling and holds leadership positions at the North Star US Foundation, the Korean National Association Memorial Foundation, the Echo Foundation, the Global Achievement Project, Korea Herald, and LA Times. She has also run the campaign of Irvine City Council in 2016. Genii received a BA in Communications and an MBA with an emphasis in Accounting and Tax from Chapman University. Thereafter, she went on to study another in College Counseling Program at UCLA.Mrs. Genii is also a highly distinguished and valuable member of the California Association of School Counselors (CASC), the Higher Education Consulting Association (HECA), Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

I currently work full time as a Graduate Counselor at the University of California, Irvine where I advise students on the different graduate programs in the school of computer science. I completed my undergraduate degree at UC Irvine and graduated with my B.A.  in Political Science and Social Policy and Public Service. I am currently completing my M.S. degree in Organizational Leadership with Johns Hopkins University. Originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia she moved to California in 2009 and graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2014 with a degree in Studio Art. Since that time she earned her Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate and spent 2017-2018 teaching English in Seoul, South Korea.  

At Admission AG, she works closely with students in college-level writing to improve and enhance their creative and narrative writing skills, ensuring that each student achieves a writing ability that will benefit their futures. She is a devoted instructor who pushes her students to challenge themselves in their work and to find deeper meaning in the writing they produce.

Hello, my name is Albert Abdou, it is a pleasure to introduce myself. I am so excited to be a part of this organization and involved in tutoring students who along with myself are working toward goals of academia success. I have been a high school teacher in Pomona, California for 15 years, along with teaching I have been a head football coach and athletic director for over 10 years. My career has always involved working with students to achieve their goals both in the classroom and off. I have had the privilege to be a part of over 80 sports scholarships to Division 1 and 1AA schools. My background has given me the opportunity to learn the requirements both for A through G and athletic requirements for admission into several colleges. Furthermore, I have had the privilege of heading the online learning platforms such as APEX, Odyssey and Ingenuity where students have taken online courses both in core subjects and electives. My passion for teaching has come from watching all levels of students grow academically and socially while setting and achieving goals set by all stakeholders. I look forward to the opportunity of working with students closely and appreciate the opportunity that has been given to me to continue my passion which is teaching.



Michael Jiwon Hwang: Math, Science, Research Teacher

Michael earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University, where he studied in premed courses on top of the engineering curriculum. He has been teaching high school students (and younger students) since his undergraduate years, specializing in AP science and math subjects as well as the respective SAT subject tests. Currently, Michael works at UCI Physiology & Biophysics lab to continue his research experience.


Tatiana Prytkova: Chemistry and Computational Science Research Teacher

She has more than fifteen years of experience in the field of computational structural biology and chemistry. She worked as a  Professor of Chemistry at  Chapman University and Principal Scientist in pharmaceutical company  Cloud Pharmaceutical. She worked on many different research projects . She successfully collaborated with  scientists from many experimental groups. She has published  twenty  research papers in peer reviewed research journals including Science, Neuroscience, Journal of Pharmacology .She presented her research on many scientific conferences .

English has always been a passion for me because of the many ways people can express their thoughts and opinions. I care deeply about every student's progress and love seeing them improve, especially when it comes to connecting what they read with what they believe. My advice when it comes to learning is to put your thoughts out there unabashedly and not to be afraid of making mistakes!
